At the press conference in IFA, Acer announced a series of desktops, notebooks, tablets, mobile and monitors under the Predator line of gaming devices. Much to the characteristic of a gaming device, these are high performance devices. The Predator 17 and Predator 15 notebooks are modular. They can swap the optical drive for an additional fan module. The desktop Predator G6 and G3 features a futuristically designed chassis and powered by 6th generation Intel® Core™ processors. They can load up to 64GB DDR4 RAM and NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX graphics modules. Acer also announced the Z35 ultra wide gaming monitor with a curved 2K display.
The Predator 8 tablet has 4 speakers with additional DSP algorithm for better sound. It has a 8-inch display with resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. It is powered by Intel’s Atom x7 processor. It is 8.7 mm thin and weighs 350 grams. Its 64 GB internal storage can be expanded by upto 128 GB using microSD card slot.
However the highlight is the Predator 6 smartphone. This is the first of its kind smartphone targeted toward the gaming crowd. It runs on Android and has a full HD 6 inch display. It is powered by a 10 core MediaTek processor and sports 4GB of RAM. It also has 21-megapixel primary camera.
