Google launches Delhi’s own Public Transport App

Google India has launched Public Transport App for New Delhi in India. An app for Delhi residents which will help them plan their travel better and save their time to reach the destination. According to the latest reports, around 2.6 million people daily travel by Delhi Metro and a big part of population travel through buses. This app provides time-table information for Delhi Metro and buses and help users get information about directions between bus stops and metro routes, without any Internet connection. Users can save their favorite destination for easy access in the future. The app will use the same Transit data for DMRC metro, DTC buses, DIMTS (Orange) buses, and Gurgaon Rapid Metro as that found on Google maps
and available offline for the users.

Apart from this feature, feedback & suggestions can also be sent to the Google Maps team which will help them improving this app in future. People can share this app with friends on social platforms like whatsapp and can download it directly even without play store account. Google said the new experimental app will be available only for Android  on Google Play Store. The app is as small as 1MB. The app also provides Transport news and delays, though this feature will need an active Internet connection.
