I have a phobia for mobile service centers. I try and avoid visiting them as much as possible. But this time my wife insisted that I get her Nokia Asha 310 fixed. The mobile has been having issues with the display since we got it and I never really bothered to get it serviced. Then one fine day, it totally conked off. The mobile was still under warranty and so I visited the Nokia Care center in CMH Road, Indira nagar, Bangalore.
I was greeted by a receptionist and she gave me a token. I had to wait for around 15 minutes. But the waiting time was not boring. The seats were comfortable and they also had a lounge for your work on your laptop. They gave me the wifi password and I was happy like a kid with a candy. When my turn came, the lady at the counter took my mobile and wrote down all the complaints. She asked me to wait for 20 minutes and the wait was longer than that. But I had no issues as there was WiFi, water and a comfortable place to sit.
After 40 minutes, she told me that they had to send it to head quarters and get it serviced. The wait time was 4 working days. Exactly after 4 working days, I got a call from the Nokia care center and they told me that my mobile was ready to be collected.
I went back to the care center and I was given a token number and asked to wait. I hate token system. Finally when my turn came, the customer service executive gave my mobile and told me to check it. I found that there was a tiny little scratch on the display. She took it back and got the entire display replaced. No questions asked. Then the hard buttons were not fixed properly. Again she took it back and got them replaced as well. The mobile is as good as new and I am a happy customer.
I have only little feedback for them. Please provide a free/charged service to store / retrieve backup from the mobile, before you get it serviced.
I have no regrets buying a Nokia mobile. Service is all that matters. If you are given a courteous smile and a straight-forward service, you are a winner. The Nokia care center, CMH Road, Bangalore is one such winner.
